Three areas to structure your trip

Match the course to the plan, not just the scenery

Check the layout, scorecard and access conditions with the operator. For a first introduction, ask about lessons and practice facilities; a tee-time booking does not automatically include tuition. Experienced players should clarify which course is booked when a complex offers several options. Also confirm handicap requirements, dress rules and equipment hire.

Calendar, maintenance and playing time

Travel dates need to fit available tee times, maintenance and the weather forecast. Before arranging several rounds, ask about tournaments, course treatments and possible layout changes. On hot days, consider timing and exertion; during storms, follow staff instructions. A year-round golf offer does not guarantee that a course is open or in the same condition every day.

Compare the whole package

Request a quote that separates accommodation, green fees, meals, buggy hire, equipment and transfers. Confirm who manages each booking and how changes work if part of the trip is altered. Staying at a resort does not guarantee that course access is included. Allow time between rounds and check the actual journey from the hotel before choosing an early tee time.
